| Villa Georgia is set back on the hillside surrounding the
pretty and deservedly popular village of Kalives, about 200mtrs from the sandy
western beach. The view from the sun-terrace and the balconies across Souda Bay,
the White Mountains, the Akrotiri Peninsula and the village are wonderful.

Kalives is easily reached in less than 10 minutes. |

Kalives is an attractive village with two long sandy
beaches, both with excellent swimming. The village is well served with
several beachside tavernas, popular with both visitors and locals alike. The
centre of Kalives is around a tree-lined square, where there are bars and cafes
where you watch the world go by.

| There are several shops and minimarkets which will cater for
most needs. Regular bus services to nearby Almirida and to Chania mean you can
visit the surrounding area. The surrounding countryside is amongst the most
attractive in Western Crete, and well worth exploring with a car. |
